We are Zeal
We’re on a mission to become the most trusted lighting and visual production partner. And you could be too.
A bit about us
From the outside, Zeal is known for world-class lighting and visual production. Inside, we’re known for how we work.
We design and deliver live shows and events from under one roof – partnering with artists, creatives, producers, agencies, venues, and teams who care about both ambition and execution.
Our services include production design, lighting design, programming, visual art, technical production, and equipment rental, specialising in lighting solutions.
The result is work that’s imaginative, meticulous, and thoughtfully delivered.
We’re curious by nature, collaborative by default, and serious about our craft – but never at the expense of trust, authenticity, or people feeling supported to do their best work.
The quality of what we produce matters. But how it’s made, and who it’s made with, matters just as much.
Why this role exists
We’re growing, and as we do, we’re looking to intentionally and carefully expand our team to retain the personal yet meticulous detail on every project that we’ve become so well known for.
As a Project Manager, you’re the person who holds the whole picture – from initial conversations through to delivery. You will bring structure without stifling creativity, keep things moving with intent, and make sure everyone knows where a project is heading, and why.
It’s an exciting moment to join (even if we do say so ourselves!) because the way we run projects is being actively shaped and refined – and this role is central to making that work in practice.
What you’ll be doing
As a Project Manager, you’ll own projects end-to-end, making sure they move forward with clarity, pace, and purpose.
That includes:
- Leading projects from initial brief through to delivery and debrief
- Working closely with our creative, technical, and operations teams
- Quoting projects and handling client budgets and expectations
- Keeping clients confident and informed, and teams aligned internally
- Managing change deliberately, with commercial and creative clarity
Above all, your job is to make sure projects finish as well as they start.
What we’re looking for
You’ll probably be great at this if you…
- Have experience in delivering lighting or visual productions
- Take real ownership and don’t wait for things to sort themselves out
- Are calm under pressure and comfortable holding multiple threads at once
- Communicate clearly, even when things get complex
- Care as much about commercial clarity as creative ambition
- Like structure, but understand when flexibility is needed
- Enjoy working closely with creatives, technicians, and producers
- Share some, if not all, of our core values.
Must haves…
- Industry experience – either as a project manager or touring background
- Expert knowledge of lighting and rigging equipment, systems, and solutions
Bonus points if you have…
- Experience working alongside creative teams
- Knowledge of CurrentRMS, Monday.com, or TeamTrack
What it’s like to work here
We might be biased, but we love it here.
We look out for each other.
We are calm under pressure.
We have high standards (and hold each other to them).
We take the work seriously – but not ourselves.
Position, salary, and location
This is a full-time, permanent position. We believe in creating an environment that makes people want to work in our offices in Basingstoke every day, but flexible and hybrid working is available.
Salary: £35-50k DOE plus benefits (including private healthcare)
Core hours are 9am-6pm Monday to Friday. That said, live events don’t always stick to office hours, so flexibility is part of the deal.
Last but definitely not least
We’re out to create more imaginative and emotive moments for everyone, and we celebrate diversity amongst our audiences and our team.
We are committed to inclusion and equality across race, gender, sexuality, age, religion, identity, and experience.
We also know we have a long way to go, so are particularly keen to hear from you if you are from an underrepresented group within our industry.
